Alberta

The bright colours and post-modern design of Alberta's 7 storey tower made the pavilion an Expo landmark.  Depending on the angle, the pavilion appeared to be a group of grain elevators, a church steeple or an oil rig.

This pavilion was all about illusion as visitors outside and in found themselves in unpredictable and humerous moments.  Outside, it was common to see nightly projections on the tower or mountaineers scaling the walls.  Inside, a seemingly normal cityscape was anything but as visitors learned that they could become peeping toms.  Peering through the tiny windows, Albertans going through their daily buisness -- including a woman in the process of undressing --  were depicted through miniture viewing screens.

Other exhibits included a tour of the province's natural wonders and a collection of folk art.
