Britain

The British Pavilion focused primarily on new technologies.

The "Local" section featured the latest in bicycles and the 100,000th Rolls-Royce to leave the assembly line.  Exhibits in the "National" section included hovercraft technologies and the HST (high speed train) that travels up to 200 kilometres per hour without the need of special tracks.  The "Fun" section contained an assortment of vehicles for pleasure and the "Frontier Movers" section exhibited the vehicles that stretch the limits of imagination.  Featured here were such technological wonders as a horizontal take off and land vehicle, a robot that maps the deepest recesses of the ocean and the fastest car in the world.

A British style restaurant was designed after a pub in George Vancouver's birthplace -- King's Lynn, Norfolk.
