The Costa Rica Pavilion was cleverly designed as a three dimensional postcard. Visitors walked through a scene of palm trees, sun, sand and blue water and into a lush green tropical forest. A message to visitors complete with an enormous stamp was on the flip side of the postcard behind the pavilion.
Of the few pavilions
that lured visitors inside simply to sell gifts or acquire potential tourists,
this pavilion by far had the most ingenious ploy.
