Folklife

A warm, intimate atmosphere of cedar buildings, boardwalks and a grassy village common comprised Folklife.

Devoted to the living tradition of Canada's native and settler folk cultures, Folklife came alive with more than 25 daily performances from Newfoundland fiddlers to Native dance troupes.  Among the performance areas, arts, crafts and food were readily available.

This was the place to try your hand at whittling, join a potlatch or find that illusive recipe for grandma's home-made apple pie.
