The Senegal Pavilion's blue and white exterior symbolized the country's importance as a fishing mecca on the shores of west Africa.
Inside, the visitor entered a traditional African village. Within this scenic setting, the sectors of agriculture and fishing comprised the main exhibit areas. As Senegal claimed to be the world ambassidor of African art, many ancient and modern artworks were on display.
For those that still
had money in their pocketbooks, some very elaborate African artworks were
for sale in the giftshop.
