Still reeling from the success of the Winter Olympics, the Yugoslavia pavilion boasted fine dining in the Olympic Sarajevo restaurant. Also, a long-held maritime tradition in both the Danube and the Adriatic Sea led Yugoslavia's exhibits to boast of their ship building capabilities. The automobile industry was highlighted with the new Jugo 45 GV passenger car.
Cultural highlights included the diversity of the Yugoslavian people and how communication between the five separate nations was achieved despite four spoken languages and two official alphabets.
