Glowing in the Dark:
Enchanted Evenings at Expo '86.

In the twilight hours after the sun set and sleepy families began to slowly make their way back to homes and hotels, Expo 86 took on an entirely different atmosphere.   It was part carnival, part Arabian Bazaar and part waterfront park.  The senses became more accute as sounds and smells were carried on the evening air.

Lights of every colour were reflected on the pavilions' chrome facades.  And on those rare nights when it rained, the slick walkways glowed.

This is how I like to remember the fair.
