The Rain Forest
Situated outside the South-east
corner of the Plaza of Nations, a selection of native British Columbian
flora was planted to create a natural forest setting. Complete with
tall evergreens and trout filled streams, visitors could get a glimpse
of British Columbia's wilderness while waiting to visit the B.C.
pavilion. Some surprises within the Rain Forest included totem poles
and a cross-section of a 2,500 year old tree which had labeled on it's
growth rings earth's history dating back to the Roman Empire.
